Other fun things...

Since I'm always looking for fun and easy DIY projects, recipes, etc, I thought I'd share some on my blog as well! I don't do standard measurements (which is why I'm not a baker) but I'll try to do my best to share the amounts I use...

CHILI BAKED POTATO

Ingredients:
1 medium-to-large potato
2 soup spoons full of chili (my chili recipe below)
1-2 soup spoons full of frozen broccoli
1-2 handfuls of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
1. mix frozen broccoli with chili. Cook on medium-high heat until warm (broccoli should be soft)
2. heat the potato in the microwave for 5-7 minutes
3. cut potato in half and scoop the chili and broccoli onto the potato halves
4. cover with shredded cheddar cheese
5. enjoy!

Chili

Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef (I usually make tacos and use the leftover meet for my chili, so it is already seasoned with a packet of taco seasoning)
1 can mexicorn (corm with green and red peppers)
1 can chili beans w/ sauce
2 cans tomato juice
5-6 tablespoons full of salsa
5 dashes of cinnamon
3-5 dashes of cumin (especially if you don't use taco seasoning on the meat)

Directions:
Heat everything in a large saucepan or throw it all into a crockpot. Enjoy!
